Q9450 overclock on Asus P5G41T-M LE

Hi guys,

I m new on this forum. Going to ask overseas (I m from the Netherlands) because on the Dutch forum no one seems to know what s the cause of my problem.

I own a Asus P5G41T-M LE motherboard and I m trying to OC my newly bought Q9450 (8x multiplier max). I ve tried everything I can but I can t get the CPU freq. past 344 (333 is standard) which means right now I can only overclock from 2.66 to 2.76 max. The screen goes blank from 345 and higher and I have to do a PC reset and than get a overclock failure notification and have to set the CPU freq. back to 344 or less.

- I tried different BIOS firmware but no result
- I tried to lower my memory settings with no result
- I tried to give my CPU, NB, and SB more voltage but no result
- I tried to disable C1E but no result
- CPU temperature is 35 degrees, Vcore 1,26V

Really don t know what to try anymore. I know the Q9450 can easily oc-ed to 3.4 without even the need of increasing voltages but I can t even get it past 2.76! What am I missing here?

Hardware:
Asus P5G41T-M LE with 0901 firmware
Intel Core2Quad Q9450
2x2 GB Kingston KVR1333D3N9K2/4G
MSI GTX460 Cyclone 1GB GDDR5
OZC ModXStream Pro 600W

Running W7 x64 but that irrelevant information I think.

Some random bios screens:

Thats not really a board you want to be OCing on. I had a similar board and it could hardly oc my q6600. Someone more experienced with 775 may be able to help but I wouldn't expect much out of that board.

Also LE is normally the lowest model for Asus.

@lightsout:

Had a Q6600 in this MB before my Q9450 and was able to oc it from 2.4 to 3.0 without any problems or even voltage changings
