I followed your guide to the letter when I installed. I just didn't see anything about speedstep. I read on another forum that the intel rapid storage drivers can actually make your speed worse and that you should just use the ones that windows install. Any truth to that?

And I haven't encountered that. I have tried out both and the Intel ones have been better.

Sometimes a drive is just slower than others, mine is, my writes are lower in 4k than other people.

Can you post a screenshot of AS SSD?

Your 4k reads are low...I would wait a week and see if there is any improvement though since you just installed the OS.

So 4K scores get better over time?

I just want to add that my cold boot to windows desktop is around 10 secs, very happy with that. Plus it's so quiet now smile.gif

It may, you just installed the OS so give it a week for TRIM and garbage collection to sort out.
