This is somewhat of a repeat post... I appologize but I'm looking for fresh perspective... what would you build with the same budget?

Get the GTX 580 instead of the 570 (you have a pretty high budget).
Get the 2500K instead of the 2600K (2500K is better for gaming).
Get the 650watt PSU the other member linked to (its better than the TX model).

This sounds fun. Where is your "more dedicated thread for my build" thread though?

CPU: 2500k $220

Mobo: ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 $198 Shipped. (Can get something as good for less probably)

Case: NZXT Phantom $125

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1866mhz $75

PSU: SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W $160

HDD: WOW the prices have like quadrupled, at this point I'd ask how much GB you think you need? I'd grab a pair of M4 128GB's now haha.

SSD:

$200

GPU: MSI GTX 580 Lightning $534 Shipped. $509 after MIR.

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 ~$79 Shipped.

$1591

Kind of overbudget. It's awesome and quality stuff though. You can cut that 580 to a MSI TFIII GTX 570 and add a 2nd next year or as desired.

ATX motherboard (maybe GIGABYTE or ASUS P67) $100-$200
Water cooling (so you can overclock past 4 GHz) $100
That comes out to be: $1400-$1500
Since when have you needed water to get a 2600k past 4 gig?

Before I water cooled mine, it was running at 4.7 gig on air with no problems.

Getting a 2600K instead of a higher-end GPU is stupid.

Heck, getting a 2600K over a 2500K for gaming is just throwing money in the garbage.

Get a GTX 580 and a 2500K in your build. 2500K, GTX 580, 2x4GB 1600MHz DDR3 1.5v, P67/Z68 mobo and a boot SSD should comprise the core of your build.

GTX 580 is the fastest single GPU, 2500K is just as good as the 2600K for gaming and $70-100 cheaper, 1600MHz is the sweet spot in RAM right now (and 1866MHz or lower CL doesn't provide enough benefit), P67/Z68 overclocks well, and SSDs prevent the HDD from being the weakest link.

I built my setup below for $1400 altogether and she screams.
