EDIT: Also, the AD700s have a very particular sound signature, and don't work well with particular music. Before recommending an audiophile set like those, it is best to get an opinion of the OP's musical tastes.

PC360s, while overpriced, will offer more audiophile comparable sound while retaining the built in mic. However, if you have an adventurous DIY spirit, you can always mod a set of headphones to include a built in mic, and have much better price to performance.

I haven't heard good things about the siberias, other than comfort. Of course, i have never listened to them, and I am just talking from my experience reading reviews.

What do people think of the Steelseries 7H gaming head sets?
I know the buzz-word "gaming" in peripherals is horribly overused and just a gimmick, but I've heard amazing things about them.

If I could fit a desk in my room (renting one for now) i'd be all over the headphone/clip on setup just so I could actually do some proper cable management. Too many cables would just drive me nuts in a small room.

When I get my own place in around 6mo ill be able to have a dedicated gaming room so then I can bring my desktop up, update it and get a dedicated sound card. Then just keep the G74SX for LAN parties.

If I had to go wired it would have to have a really short cord. Like under 5-6ft so I wouldn't go nuts.

I saw a review from LinusTechTips on the 7H, and apparently they have a short cord incase you want to plug them into a keyboard.

With my Titanium HD they made the G930's obsolete.

If you absolutely must have a headset, the Sennheiser PC360 is a very good option. Otherwise I would buy headphones and a seperate microphone.

The Steelseries Siberia V2's are also a good option, but the best headset would still have to be the PC350/360's.
The g35s have been compared to 6hundred dollar audio equipment and received a 8/10. Learn your stuff bro.

PC360 uses HD555 drivers... meh

Are you kidding...? The G35s would have been compared against 600 dollar audio equipment, and then proclaimed, yep, these still suck. I owned them. Bass is weak yet somehow still bloated, midrange has no drive, and highs are piercing. The surround sound doesnt work all that well (not bad), but theyre uncomfortable. He doesn't need to "learn his stuff" because hes right

PC360 uses 555 drivers, yes. And thats a good thing because the 555s are good headphones.

I suspect the g930's are no different same headset just wireless? I've watched a few reviews on them and the general consensus was that they were pretty awesome for the price.

But first hand knowledge is better and I value first hand knowledge from consumers higher.
