I checked the list and Llano can only work dual graphics with anything lower than Turks XT, so will the next gen of llano or trinity support lets say Cayman Pro ?

I think it would be safe to assume that Trinity will only do 7700 series and lower in the 7000 series

I thought AMD said 10-15% performance each step? Then again, AMD said lots of stuff...

Performance per Watt

They can decrease power consumption and it can still rise

Bulldozer decrease in power usage to Piledriver increase in IPC to Steamroller decrease in power usage to Excavator

When they released socket FM1 on the 30th of June - that was four months ago, and only two models were released on that date - they should have planned ahead and make sure it was compatible with Trinity. It's one less argument AMD customers have in favor of AMD having less sockets. Some people might have wanted to upgrade their Llano systems based on past experience with AMD having good backwards compatibility, too, you know ?

Where these APUs shine is in laptops anyways.

Think you're missing the giant bubble pointing to Piledriver that says IPC and power improvements.

Wouldn't take it seriously till they start talking about what they added to increase IPC so far they haven't added anything

Yea that chart is very vague. Come to think of it, all of those marketing slides have been like that. I guess you can't really hold them to anything that way.

It says "10-15% increase in performance each year." The "chart" is of "performane per watt" (not much of a chart, it just shows it going up). That could mean anything.

So it looks like Piledriver cores are going to be pretty bad as well From an English translation:

Quote:
The first generation of APU Llano frequency than TC 0.3, TC个G,

And such a high frequency, but the actual performance is almost the same and Llano (LZ tested 3D MARK V and R11.5, but I am afraid I can not release the current picture)

LZ at this time speechless.

Are there any players do not know what to say: BIOS, system drivers to improve performance ah.

I suggest that you search I found the first half of the release of the first generation of bulldozers R11.5 and 3D MARK06 CPU scores, to contrast the present and see what there is to enhance ......

As a love of DIY products and also love the players AMD CPU, AMD once again deeply hurt you.

I thought I remember them saying when they launched Llano that Trinity would be using FM2 and not FM1.
