How do you carry your desktop PC - Page 3

You should be fine with the above advice as long as your CPU heatsink isn't too heavy, and as long as you don't have a HUGE, heavy graphics card. If you do, I know this isn't ideal, remove them. It'll be a pain to have to re-seat your heatsink when you get there but it's better than having the damn thing snap off.

Oh yeah, if it's not that far (or that bumpy) to where you're going then there should be no problem.

But seriously. I recommend original box case came in.

unfortunatly the OP threw it out..

i would thinmk laying it flat, well cusioned in a car or as some mentioned a trolley if your walking would be best. you dont want your Noctua cooler to put stress on your mobo which could cause your mobo to crack (worst case senerio). laying it flat would reduce the stress on your mobo but that cooler could still wobble abit even laid flat so move it very carefully smile.gif

For simply carrying it around: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/ThinkGeek-GearGrip-Pro-Large-Size/dp/B00021UJ62%3FSubscriptionId%3D19BAZMZQFZJ6G2QYGCG2%26tag%3DSquid733039-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00021UJ62"]Geargrip pro[/ame] or something like that. I use it on my rig weighing over 50 lbs, but if your rig weighs 40 lbs or less I'd just use my hands.

For transport:
Lay it on the side with the motherboard and heatsink facing upwards, fill in the extra space with t-shirts or other stuff if you are going for a long/bumpy ride with large, heavy and/or loose parts.

New idea. Goto albertsons perferably with a pickup truck. Car works too somwhow.anyway toss one of their shopping carts in the bak and bam u got urself a cart on wheels.(walmart and target usually have a cart lock system)

Btw im semi serious lol. Could even mod the cart to be stylish

Oh maybe even get one them coolers (iglu brand i think?) with wheels and a long pull bar.

It's either the thing that carry luggage at the airport or a shopping cart, I think the first one though tongue.gif
What I did was put all the wires in a box, carry the case with a friend, easy as cake biggrin.gif

I always put the rig and monitor back in the box and tie them together.
Put the cables, mouse, and keyboard in a backpack with your spare clothing.

If you have a small keyboard, bring that instead of your gaming keyboard so it will fit in the backpack.
