Useless? Um ok, what exactly does it not have as far as apps compared to the ipad? Only app I've found so far is the time warner app and that is being developed.

Fooled by what? This thing is a beast regardless of whether or not you find an android tab worth it.

On a side note, I like seeing my next phone taking runner up to a quad core.

This is a very special Tablet. I really look forward to playing a bunch of games and emulators on it. Plug in the Bluetooth controller and mobile gaming galore. Got to love open platforms. Nothing like playing Zelda 64 on the go .

No you can't... $450 is the Apple price for a refurbished one, who's gonna pick a non Apple certified one and chance maybe a water damage indicator being there?

Just because people pay high for a used one, doesn't mean you should get it, Mercedes will hemorrhage value when you buy it, but a VW Rabbit won't, yet I don't see people saying you should get a VW Rabbit over a Mercedes.

I also can't figure what you mean by Apps. You need apps for your phone, not a tablet. All I need to say its good is a music app and games, which Android has plenty.

I can't think of anything that I really can't get, but need. Could you point me to an App you just absolutely need on a tablet that you can't get with Android?

ha ha .. me too.

I wish our next phone was named Nexus Prime, but instead ASUS ran with it after Galaxy Nexus was chosen.

Can't tell if your serious or just messing with everyone. The price thing is obvious, because Apple products are always a lot of money, but as far as re-sell value, you arn't getting 450$ for a used ipad 2 unless maybe its BNIB and then what's the point. And as far as apps goes, sure the apple app market is a little bigger, but andriod is catching up at an alarming rate and not only that but all the big important ones are on both platorms, I'd be interested if you could mention even one app that apple has that android doesn't have an equivlent too that a majority people would say impact the whoel tablet experience.

Also, this thing is worth more than the Ipad2 to most people just based on the customization options that come with rooting Androids OS, that's why I'm going for it. This thing will have a quad core, you think all the Custom Rom developers won't be supporting the hell out of it? They always target the devices with the best hardware. (especially given the popularity the original transformer has already generated in the custom root/rom community)

I am not messing with anyone. I just find it that with Android TABs right now they are so small in market share compare to iPad. Most important thing about these devices are Apps and frankly iPad has plenty. On top of that i have noticed the USA is fair when it comes to used prices. Here in Toronto Canada anything Apple is sold with a ridicules price even used.

As far as Custom ROMs i like to believe in them but it takes way too long. By the time it even matures you get the nest Transformer which kills the point. TABs to begin with are a form of entertainment and you would like to thing you have the best and with Android they come out with so many versions that its not even funny. As far as hardware upgrades go they are going a stupid pace. In PC world (Game wise) we wait for faster hardware because you can benefit from price/performance etc, Here you get a Quad Core to do the same thing a Single core can do too. Basically speeds with no real purpose. Think of it this way. If Google really wanted a fast phone they could have easily had Tegra 3 Quad Core phone but to them it seem unnecessary with the current level of software. Kind of like having a Intel 16-Core CPU for a gamer which only plays game and games dont use more then 4 core. Or having a 200MPH car but could only drive it to the city until hwys open but when that happens 800MPH cars will be out until the come to a stop with speed like in PC world when CPU could only just go so fast.

In short (Long its the wrong time to buy a TAB unless you know ahead on thing you are going to use it and places you are going to. I know this is OCN and i think like many of you but when i buy a Phone or a TAB first thing that comes to mind is Hardware side of it and 50% of the reason i got my TAB was probably to mess with the processing power or Tegra 2 and see what the fuss is all about. In reality for me @ Home i hardly see a use for a TAB. At night i use my phone in bed to watch videos, tried the TAB was too big, heavy, bulk. Sitting on the couch and trying to use the TAB for different thing was a pain because i could do the same thing in my Computer Room with my PC with much ease. These are mostly for entertainment. Music has no advantage on them. Watching a Movie is nice if you thing about it but why bother and just want it on TV or PC. You might want to go backyard and watch out there (few people do that but at day time you cant because of the Sun)

Some give me a reason to believe in TAbs again.

Wow that's nice... 1.4GHz quad-core and 2GB of RAM. What's with the poor graphics score though?

I wonder what Apple is going to do... a 1GHz quad-core, a 1.5GHz dual-core, or a 1GHz dual-core. (All based on ARM15, the latter would be to save power.)

EDIT: In figure 9 they say "benefit from quad-core processor" when comparing Tegra 2 vs Kal-El, but the latter has improved graphics doesn't it? It's a 12-core GPU w/ architectural improvements no doubt. That would be (most of) why the FPS was improving.

Would've liked to see a single threaded comparison for Tegra 2, A5 and Kal-El.
