I think people are not realizing that Windows 7 caches programs for later use if they are used frequently. What it does is flushes the programs out of the RAM that are not needed when something else needs that RAM. What people are seeing with more than 4GB of RAM is that those programs are not being flushed out as there is extra RAM for it to be cached in and not affect anything else. When using 4GB of RAM the programs get flushed and no more than 4GB is ever needed for gaming as of yet.

What I am hearing is that you are just too lazy to add up the RAM usage of the processes you have already identified. It would take you all of 30 seconds to get the number you are looking for. If you are going to argue with someone don't show the solution and then clearly just ignore it.
Carlos Hilgert Ferrari: 91 processes? I have about 70 running when I have BF3 going on. I also have steam, a few logitech programs, the X-Fi software and MSE running. You need to clean out your bloated computer before you go showing people how much RAM things supposedly need.Edited by Exostenza - 11/7/11 at 6:58pm
