Safe to run 4.2ghz at 1.5v 24/7? - Page 4

well, i just dont feel comfortable pushing the vrms/mosfets any farther. the most stability i got was at 1.525vcore and it pushed all the way to 1.618 under load. i just dont really see the reasoning to push the motherboard that hard for an extra .2 ghz. well, thanks all you guys appreciate all the help. guess i found what it would really take to make it stable tho at least.

Would not exceed 1.55v 24/7 even under water. Water only helps with heat from said voltage, it does nothing to prevent electro-migration. There are many cases where users ran high voltage under water and had gate material migrate from the +VDC side of the gate towards the GND side of the gate. That process (electro-migration) eventually killed that gate, and their CPU. In most cases it took weeks, even months, but would you risk it for a few 100Mhz?

This is so frustrating. I have no idea why but for some reason I always get 124 blue screens even when I'm at 4.0 and 1.375 volts. Should I just drop my voltage until I can't boot then raise it up until it does?

Revelation!! I realized that the ram I bought only supported 1333 speeds! So that's what was causing all

0x0000124 BSOD error means you need more CPU / CPU NB voltages!

It's not enough. Use 1.45/1.475v on CPU and 1.35v on CPU NB.

But you already had a BSOD + 1.4v on CPU NB is way too high. It's low for CPU but high for CPU NB.

It was my ram causing the blue screen. It was running at 1526 MHz and it's only rated to 1333.
