BF:BC2 and Fraps 3.4.6

Why am I getting lag when I record with Fraps on this HDD? When I tried it last week on my SSD there was no lag but once I installed the HDD and recorded on it, there is lag. I record at 30fps, full size, with windows sound recording.

Any ideas why this is happening and a way to fix it?

I have an SSD as boot drive where my OS and programs/games are installed and then I have the 1TB HDD which is only used for recording and storing my videos. So to answer your question, no, I'm recording to a different drive.

Edit: Just read your thread. I'm in the same boat as you. Game is on SSD and I'm recording to HDD.
I think it's because we're using 120hz monitors and trying to maintain 120fps is hard at 1080p in games such as BC2 and BF3. When I lower resolution, there is no more lag. One thing to mention is that when I was recording directly to the SSD which the game is on, it was pretty smooth until the drive started running out of space. Maybe if we had 60hz monitors and had to maintain only 60fps then it wouldn't lag like that with our machines. Or maybe if we had SLI setups it wouldn't lag still. I guess for now the only solution is to lower resolution when we record.
