HTC Thunderbolt or Droid Incredible 2

Thread Starter
I'm trying to get a new phone and have been between these two. I will probably get them at Best Buy and this week the Thunderbolt is $99 while the Incredible 2 is $0. I just am not sure if 4G is really worth it and heard battery life on the Thunderbolt is terrible. But what are the benefits of either one? I am also interested in loading custom ROM and running CM7.

Also are these both international friendly?

Things to know:
This would be my first smartphone
No I don't have $300 for the Galaxy Nexus thing

Don't get the Charge. Plastic piece of crap, not durable, slow (no dual core, doesn't even deserve the DROID tag), and Samsung has expressed no plans to give it gingerbread even.

I wasn't planning on getting the Charge because of those reasons and its more "bricky" and is just plain ugly.
