That's true, maybe the 16GB will be priced well enough. If the Transformer Prime isn't much more expensive, I might grab it.

The fire has some pretty mid->high end hardware. What is low end about it? Dual core, 512mb ram, I believe IPS display, etc.

The prime is rumored to be $500 at launch, but if they launch in time for black friday, I'd expect some deals on it then. There are other rumors that say the $500 price tag is because they won't have a 16GB model. Who knows, announcement is tommorow.

I heard it's delayed until December so they can put ICS on it.

It never had a release date to delay . I have trouble believing a December release date though. Release a tablet after the biggest shopping day of the year? Possibly as late as 2 weeks before christmas? In today's market where it isn't easy to sell non-iPads in the first place, Asus would be stupid to release it after one of their biggest sales opportunities.

I can see an early release and a late december/early january ICS update.

It did say it was delayed to early December, so maybe that means around the fifth?

My point was, there was never an original release date to delay till December. It would just be December. That does look like the date though, surprisingly. We'll hopefully know more soon.
