Yea that will work i did it in the past when i had mutiple routers with dd-wrt.

Yes it will work as stated before, and yes it is that easy. If you want more info on it google... "BSSID vs ESSID". You will be going from a BSSID to an ESSID.

With using WPA2, you will not notice any roaming. Roaming was one of the improvements from WPA to WPA2. WPA2 allows pre-authentication to the cell it is moving to, and it also allows caching of previous authentications.

I have set this up at a school, 9 AP's show up as one.. With a management pc that looks after the whole network automatically (changing AP's channel, assigning laptops etc to new AP's as needed etc, managing bandwidth........)

Ubiquity Unify

i found a 3 pack of the AP's for $198 and the long range versions are $255. Its not that expensive for what you get.

Thread Starter
I remapped it. I think it gives room for more AP's and stuff.

* As a request, the E4200 now would have DD-WRT.
* On the E4200, there's still an Ethernet port open, so you can plug in whatever you'd like
* The Cisco Small Business SD2005 has 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports, two of them being used for the Wireless AP's and one for connecting it to the router. Would this rearrangement cause problems?
* The 50TB home server (like Murlocke's) is now directly connected to the router to avoid lag.
