OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W compatibility questions

Thread Starter
^Title.

Just wondering if the OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W I'm looking at is compatible with a i5 2500k SB 3.3ghz/3.7ghz turbo, 6 case fans (4 with LEDs if that matters), 8gb Corsair Vengeance Low-Profile 1600 RAM, and one Western Digital Caviar Black 750 GB SATA III, and a MSI Twin Frozr III PE/OC GTX 570.

Will it work with all that? Even though each rail only has 25 amps, and the 570 needs I'm assuming more than that? (38a according to http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...s%20Family&sw=)

Thanks in advance everybody.

Ok. Just out of curiosity, are there any other 600w supplies for a similar price you'd consider better?

Hope that helps

Antec True Power New 550
Antec NeoECO 520C
Antec High Current Gamer 520
XFX Core Series/Pro Edition 550w

Any one of those would be a great choice, just go by price

Hope that helps

While your check out the PSU cal, have a look at the recommendations for SLI 570's, when you have filled everything in, it should pop up a list of PSU's at bottom.

If you can find one that is a few bucks more than a 550w PSU and you're adamant that you will be going SLI in the future, then by all means get a 750w.

EDIT:

IIRC 38 amps is for the whole system.

Good luck

Why are you getting a 600w PSU?

This would be a perfect:

Antec TruePower New TP-550 550W $90

XFX Core Edition PRO550W $55 after MIR

Either one would be great, I think the XFX is probably a little better than the Antec, both are better than the CM PSU you chose.

Yes the Extreme3 is more than capable

Does it have to be modular as well?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182131

If not

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207013

pretty much anything from corsair/antec/seasonic would be great quality, ModxStream is not a bad psu, its just not not as good as above branded units.

Actually guys, I ended up going with a HX650 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139012).

I know it's kind of overkill, but it came in a bundle with my case so in the end it was the same price as the case + OCZ ModXStream independently. And it's a way better PSU than the OCZ one. (at least I'm pretty sure it is)

I just ordered everything for my very first rig that I'm personally building. I'm so excited. It ended up being $1300, but oh so worth it. Now just to figure out how to OC a i5 2500k on a ASRock Extreme4 Gen3... since I've never OC'd a CPU before.

*Edit* oh and thanks all for the help!
