Create Titanium HD

Well, I just pulled the trigger and purchased a Creative XFi titanium HD sound card, I suspect this should take my computer as far as it can possibly go haha.

I looked into getting some opamps for it, but Im pretty sure it wont be required as Ive actually been fine with just using onboard sound.

hopefully it will actually make an audible difference vs my onboard.

I will be using the optical out to my Yamaha HTR-6130 Receiver with 5.1 speaker setup.

It will make a HUGE difference in game sound over onboard. You should notice it right away. Also music sounds much better over onboard as well. Good pickup! Whats the primary use of this card gaming or music?

Yep you will be astounded It is considered THE best gaming card so enjoy

Also when you get the software installed, just make sure you flip the switch to gaming when gaming to get the most out of it, and back to entertainment mode when you want to watch movies.

Did no one notice he's running optical out to a receiver? That's kind of pointless because digital is digital. Your X-Fi will have barely any effect, other than perhaps the CMSS effects.

He stated movies and gaming so even though he is running out to receiver, he will still get the most out of the audio in games.
