Project Eclipse (first build log)

Thread Starter
This is my first build log so please keep that in mind. How ever it's far from my first scratch build PC. The reason behind the build is my current gaming rig is getting old and I wanted to go all out for my new one. I named it Project Eclipse because it's going to have a blue and black color scheme (thinking total solar and the "blue" ring you get with the special filters)

Parts
1x ASUS Sabertooth P67 Rev 3.0
1x Corsair Vengeance 8GB (Part # CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8)
1x Intel Core i5 2500K
2x XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB (Part # HD695XCDFC)
2x OCZ Vertex 3 120GB (raid 0)
1x Corsair Professional AX850
1x Coolermaster Haf X
1x Antec Kuhler H20 920
2 x Corsair 200mm Case Fan - Black
2 x Bit Fenix Spectre LED Fan Series 230mm - Blue
1x Delta AFB0512HD-F00 fan - 50mm
1 x Akust FanSpeeder "Dual"- Black
2 x 3-Pin Y-Adapter Cable 6"

Notes:
1)I know that Nvidia and SLI commonly "go" with intel builds how ever I got the 2X XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB from a local retailer (who was going out of business) for $200 for both...to good of a deal to pass up imo.
2)The delta fan will have an inline resistor soldered to keep it's noise down to a manageable level.
3) I have included the part number(s) for some items due to the fact there are different variations of them.

I am still getting the majority of the parts (being a student sucks financially) I will update the log with pics and notes as I receive them. Feel free to post any recommendations you may have regarding my build.

Antec Kuhler H20 920 I know the H80 is marginally better but I liked the enhanced flexablity that the 920's "lines" have. I may look at getting some quieter fans for it like the Akasa APACHE S-Flow

Here is a brief review of the 200mm and 230mm fans as promised.

The Corsair 200mm Case Fan has a some what flimsy appearance due to the frame being so thin. How ever looks can be deceiving the fan is actually quite sturdy. Corsair rates the fan at 28.8dBA this may be true if you put your ear right up to the fan but I would peg it closer to low 20's under normal operating conditions. The cfm does appear to be correct tho, the fan moves allot of air even for a 200mm. The fan has a all black 3 pin connector on it so there is no need to sleeve it. There are even places for LED's to be placed in the frame if one so chooses.

The Bit Fenix Spectre LED Fan Series 230mm (blue) is one heck of a fan it's solidly constructed and moves allot of air well being barely audible. It even comes with a connector so you can hook the led's up to a case switch or just keep them on all the time by using the preinstalled jumper. The led's are bright but not overbearing like some fans. Just like the Corsair 200mm the wires are all black with a 3pin connector so again sleeveing is not necessary. This really is a enthusiast's fan and the option switch wiring is good for you moders out there. It may be on the higher side of 250mm fan pricing but dentally well worth the premium price.

I dident realize this section was for moders only. I am new here and don't want to get off on the wrong foot, should I keep my build log going or just stop here?
