All I can tell you is what works for me. What did work for me is the following:

That being said, if you are getting a locked 30 fps, you have other issues there because I am not.

Turning off DX11 did not seem to make a difference for me.

I get that it works for you but myself and another (so at least one other confirmed besides myself) have the FPS locked at 30FPS with your config! frown.gif

So what I was wondering is, what else has been set elsewhere that has enabled you a non-lock of 30FPS? redface.gif

Try the one I posted above. Its practically the same, technically neither should give you a 30FPS lock. Try it let me know, it's worked for 20+ people who have asked for it. Make sure you delete everything inside your user.cfg though so only those commands are in there and there's no overlapping commands.

Yes, I have also had a few people also say mine is working for them as well. Check your in game settings, and possibly your driver settings to see if vsync is enabled. That is all I can suggest.

Yep, like I said, we have practically the exact same commands. The command to lock it to 30FPS is not in either of our config which is why it's rather odd.

nice work guys. would anyone be willing to post some comparison screenshots? i'd love to try this but i won't be near my computer for a while.

also anyone know any ways to improve CPU performance. i'm assuming these tweaks have a greater effect on the GPU....but from what i can tell this game is probably more CPU bound anyways.

From my knowledge, to reduce the CPU the only way is for you to play in servers with less players. The reason for this is because there are no variables that have any effects on the CPU. The game is very limited on client sided cvars.

I use vsync, I need it. Can't stand screen tearing so I have vsync and triple buffering enabled globaly in control panel.

Any way to use vsync with this config and not be capped at 30fps?

Makes sense, but this game was designed for 64players. Turning down some of the texture/particle settings seems to have a considerable effect on CPU performance. From what I can tell, the game looks nearly identical at "High" settings as it does at "Low". The one thing that does make a huge difference is MSAA.
