Yeah, there is no rush, i actually HAD the 580 EK blocks on order as i was getting the classified versions, but had to cancel then once i was told that the classified would take a month to come...

Darn this, anyway at least i get to play BF3, Crysis2, BFBC2, Dirt 2 + 3 and Metro 2033 at FULL DX11 Quality!

Yea I have just switched from my 6970's to 570's and the game play is so much smoother.

Enjoy your cards!

One thing i'm suprised about is just how light and SMALL they are!!

They are about 7cm smaller than my GTX285's! and about half the weight! i was sure they weren't in the box until i opened them!

I'M LOVING THEM!!

Evga gtx570 HD models are actually non-reference cards.

As already stated, the HDs are a smaller revision of the 570s. The reasoning behind the 570 HD was never really clear to me, except for the fact that early 570s had VRM issues where it caused them to fail. This has since been corrected.

Yeah the HD aren't reference cards, sadly. No voltage control that I could find, though I didn't try EVGA precision .

Well i've unlocked the Voltage control on MSI Afterburner?

From reading in the EVGA forums, the only difference is this has no Vapor chamber and is about an inch smaller than the non-HD version?

I really wish they'd stop making so many different versions of it! I originally wanted the Classifieds... but i'm not waiting 3 weeks..

I'm pretty happy with these, since i can't water cool them i'm just gonna leave them as is, looking good in the case.

From what I understand, revision 1 cards had voltage control and revision 2 cards did not. Or, perhaps it was vice-versa, I'm not sure as I never looked into it, since I thankfully got my hands on two reference Superclocks for a good deal.

Ah i've just looked and EK don't have any covers for it... but they do for the others?

I think this one is WAY smaller than the others?

Indeed its a non-reference card which is always better than reference gtx570's,
The reference gtx570 in most of the cases won't OC as high as yours.

Not true. One revision of the 570 HD can't tune voltage, so the reference 570 would obviously have the upper hand there. The chips are also binned the same, the 570 HD isn't higher binned by any means so given the same clocks and voltage, they'll perform about the same overclocking wise.

All that said -- enjoy your 570s! Loving mine with BF3 on my FW900 thumb.gif

You guys are using all these acronyms that I that I have no idea what they mean and I wish I did: VRM, HC2, EK, PCB... What are you talking about? I think I'm an example of the reference 570's iffy VRM (though I still don't know what that means). See this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1169094/how-many-of-you-have
I had this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130595

I got an RMA from EVGA to get a replacement card. But is there anyway to tell by looking at the card if it is one of these "bad VRM model" cards?
