Tower cooler clearance on X79

According to this picture, if you want to keep continue to use your current heatsink(after mod) on X79 and install 8 rams on your motherboard.
Then you need to measure the dimension of your "heatsink+fan"
The distance from the center of copper base to the edge of fan should be less than 55mm. Otherwise, it may has conflict to ram with big heatsink

Also, the screw thread on the LGA2011 CPU backplate should be "M4"
You should know how to mod it
