He as SLI GTX560 Ti DCII and even a single card it is loud, according to him. I would think that the same goes for GTX570 Ti DCII.
Not sure what he is doing with his fan control then.

Also there is no such thing as a 570 Ti.

But mine is absolutely silent and it never even becomes audible in gaming.

Also he is trading SLI 560 Ti 560's for a single 570 ?

Of course there is no GTX570 Ti - a spelling mistake.

Would you say that Gainward GTX570 Phantom is as quiet as this cooler?

I've had 2 cards with these on.

One of which was a GTX 480 that I installed on it myself and the other a KFA2 580.

And they are literally silent, and I mean absolutely silent.

On the 480 it was quieter on the 580 the fan speeds were notched up to 5000rpm max. You could hear them then but with auto fan control the temps never went above 50c in any game or benchmark and the card was silent through all it's life.

They are top top top coolers cannot rate them highly enough. I'd go as far as saying they perform close to liquid cooling.

Only downside is the cooler is triple slot.

Overclocking they are good for, also the installation is easy.

Best VGA air cooler out there without a shadow of a doubt.

As for the Phantom cooler, never used it myself personally however all the trusted review sites say it is good.

I'd say the Accelero is better purely because of experience.

The triple slot Asus DirectCU II is very quiet, I know, I own one. The GTX 560 ti DirectCU II cards are dual slot and can be noisy still, not a fair comparison at all.

Go for the Asus one if do not plan to SLI( if you even can with your motherboard )

Sli'd Direct CU cards get loud as the top card gets really hot from the hot air from the bottom card.

Had a variant of this on my 4870x2 [Accelero 4870x2 ] and until it hit 90% it was inaudible at a 4 foot distance. After 90% you heard the tiniest bit of wooshing. It was incredibly silent and kept that toasty x2 extremely cool.

It is a three slot cooler though, keep that in mind. Though really if you're going for one card it's an excellent option!

As for comparison to the Phantom... I'd easily bet that the Phantom is a teeny bit louder... still much quieter than any other offerings out there though.

Either way, he'll be happy.
