Am I missing anything for my system?

Thread Starter
Hi all,
I'm new to watercooling, and taking onboard the advice given here previously by what watercooling kit to buy I'm getting the following components for my current specification (in my signature), tell me if I am missing anything or don't need something in the list (e.g. extra tubing):
- XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 WaterCooling Kit : RS Series Kit
- Mayhems Aurora - Extinction Green Coolant (1L?)
- SysClean Watercooling High Power Limescale Remover & Cleaning Fluid : 50ml
- XSPC 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD (11-16mm) High Flex Tubing : Clear (1 Metre)
- Alphacool NexXxos ATXP Full Cover Waterblock for AMD / ATI HD 6970 and 6950 Graphics Cards : Copper Acetal (1/4" Thread)

Is this good? Price is roughly £277 GBP.

Many thanks.

A rasa RS240 kit aint enough for that system mate.

You need like a RX360 rad and a good pump.

Go for Primochill tube (7/16" ID - 5/8" OD), the xspc tube is trash.

SysClean Watercooling High Power Limescale Remover & Cleaning Fluid : 50ml

dont need this, its in the Mayhems Aurora coolant. as for the question on if 1L will be enough, id just get a bottle of de-mineralised water from a supermarket to top up what ever more you need after all the coolant is gone. however i would doubt that you would need the whole 1L

Hmm, I see, ok I'll scrap that cleaning 50ml thing off my list then, but getting the RS360 will exceed my budget me thinks, I was however previously advised to get the RS240 for my case/system. Is it the general opinion now that the advice was wrong and I really should get an RS360?

Oh, also, do I have to worry about getting a CPU waterblock for my socket 1155 with the RS360, as it mentions 1156 but not 1155?

true i over looked that. better still get the RS240 kit and get a separate 360 rad as well.

also i would disagree that the XSPC tubing is no good, i just use medical grade 1/2" tubing that costs about $1 a metre and it works fine, the XSPC has got to be better than what im using. no real need to go out and spend big money on tubing unless you want it coloured or UV active. as for flexibility just make sure your loop isnt kinking, if it is add a little more length to the piece so it doesnt have to kink.

the RS240 isnt going to be enough cooling capacity for what your trying to cool, if you were just doing your processor the RS240 would be fine, but because of the GPU its not enough. you could try it, and back down your overclocks but i really dont think it would be worth it unless you got another rad. also the pump that comes with the XSPC kits will be enough for a CPU and GPU.

as far as i knew the XSPC block supported 1155, but i am 90% sure that 1156 and 1155 are the same mounting spacing.

I see, thanks. Well I'll re-add the tubing then, I don't want coloured tubing (why bother when the water will be green anyway, just clear tubing will do). I have also got on the order a nice lighting mod for the case, considering I'll have to sacrifice my top case fan with white leds on due to the radiator being placed on top externally. I have noticed the RS360 doesn't cost much more than the RS240 so I'll buy that as it's just about within budget still.

Lighting mods:
- Phobya LED-Flexlight RGB Controller with IR-Remote Control
- Phobya LED-Flexlight HighDensity 240cm MultiColour (RGB) : 216x SMD LEDs

All good? GPU waterblock threading size nothing to worry about?

They have the same mounting holes.

Right, everything ordered, just one more thing occurred to me, as I'm likely going to fit it outside of my case, on the top, will I need two of these?

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...pid-13037.html - See this product for what I mean, it's a universal stand.

or (preferably?) this...

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...-pid-9922.html

EDIT: Nevermind, I've ordered the 34mm M4 Radiator Spacers. They seemed the most suitable option for where I wish to place the radiator.
