Hey, has anyone had or knew someone who had the asus gtx 570?

reference model.

Cant find it on newegg, and i need some reviews, I was considering buying it and putting it into sli since the dcuII's are a pain to sli

It's the same as all reference models. Any like that would work.

I've never owned a reference model before.
do you know how sound+ heat compares to cards such as dcII?

The reference card will push the hot air from the gpu outside the case. The DirectCU II will leave the hot air inside your case heating up the the other components. The cooler on the DirectCU II card is very good and very quiet too.

The reference GTX570 card's cooler can also do a good job as it has a vapor chamber cooler on the card. But is a lot louder than the DirectCU II one.
