just out of curiosity 1090t

Thread Starter
I have american megatrends click bios version 0705 and when I set my ai overclock tuner it sets my target cpu speed at 3600 (18 multiplier and 200) on my 1090t. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what results you get (those with stock coolers, after market coolers, those clocked around 4 gb)... just asking out of curiosity. Btw I am using the "d.o.c.p" function.

I doubt anyone here using auto overclocking.

You've find that most people here prefer to manually overclock from the BIOS, however I did test the OC program and found that it couldn't really find a stable overclock or applied to much voltage. There's just somethings that auto overclocking software can't account for.

At least read this guide, so that you understand what is happening if the software gives you a bad overclock. You might be able to tweak some it it's settings afterwards and run with it.

I think that was the answer I was looking for. I was thinking the auto oc would set it to a "default" value for auto oc'ing (ie. 18x and 200). But im guessing its different for everyone. btw ALUCARDVPR can you recommend a good cooler around $30-40.

That's actually what I'm running mine at safely underneath a Coolermaster Hyper 212+

I come from a simpler overclocking time (Q6600 era) and now I've not had time to explore a proper phenom 2 OC. I just set it to D.O.C.P and then upped the multi to get me to 4GHz because I feel the overvolting the auto mode does will cover that. Just my 2 cents.
