My Asus only detects 1 of my 3 ssd/hdd's and yet all work just fine. I gave up worrying about.

The BIOS incorrectly detects it as Sandforce. since its contained my OS (W7) the system don't boot. when I set my Intel drive as boot drive in the BIOS the computer boots fine(windows developer preview) . the vertex 2 however is still inaccessible from windows. I have since unplugged the OCZ SSD and installed windows 7 to my Intel SSD. I'm currently waiting on a reply to my RMA request with OCZ. Thanks for all your suggestions guys.

I have a question...does this issue pop up with any sand force drive? or is it ocz in particular? I currently have a Corsair GT Force drive (which is sand force based) and will be switching to a vertex 3 drive...so that's why I am wondering. I haven't had any issues with the Force GT drive so I shouldn't with the vertex 3...right?

I am hoping the error is just in this one specific SSD as if its a manufacturing defect.

No issues with my Vertex 3 MAX IOPS, i think your Mobo is the problem, not rare in AMD boards wink.gif

Do you have the latest BIOS?

Do you have AHCI enabled?

Did you made a clean windows 7 install in AHCI?

Have you upgraded to the latest firmware?
