Will My pump be enough?

Thread Starter
Hello

I currently have a mcp350 with xspc res/top and a loop with the following components:
2x xspc rx360
EK supreme hf full nickel
2x EK-fc 580 nickel

And I am now adding a block for the mobo. An EK fullcover block for R3E.
Will my mcp350 be enough? I have like 3 90 degree elbows and several 45 degree.

Thank you.

The MCP355 is an epic little pump with great headpressure. However, I think it might be reaching it's limits with what you have in there. The MCP655 would be the better option if you can afford it.

I have the 350, not the 355! I already have this pump, don't want to have to buy a new pump + res + top...

Some say the 350 will do perfectly fine, others the opposite. Which is it?

Ok

http://www.swiftech.com/mcp350.aspx

That say's you're good up to 10ft of head pressure. I'd probably not want it to go above 8, You "Should" be ok. You can always measure it and see how big the loop is.

chipset waterblocks are very restrictive.....you may be pushing it to far pump wise...check temps...you have plenty of rad ..watercooling is all about overkill though, have fun

Yea, you might be ok you might not be you'll be in that border zone where it really depends on your blocks. The radiators and bend fittings really don't factor in that much as they really aren't as much of a factor as you think. In my opinion you should be ok, but I will say you are on the edge of hitting the max of the pump. You could pick up another bmaverick 350 and get a dual top or dual pump bay reservoir from xspc or some brand.

350 will push that. You'd be better off volt modding it to be a 355. A single 355 can push all of that and still maintain decent flow rate.

I have two 355's pushing about 70-80 ft worth of tubing, blocks, 90's, etc with very little flow loss.

Regardless of that pumps capacity, I'd grab another one for back up purposes. That's a lot of gear in your Signature - a 2nd pump is cheap insurance should the 1st one fail.
