GTAIV: That pesky RESC10 Error.

Hello, ladies, gentlemen, and forum wizards. Once again, I am here to ask another question, regarding GTA 4, and the RESC10 Error.

Now from what I understand, the RESC10 is an indicator that the computer has run out of video memory, and is stopping the game. I have researched it online for the past day or so, and it appears I have run into a unique issue.

Most people complain of being able to play for ~20 minutes before crash, however mine occurs on launch.

I originally installed GTA4 (Retail CD), three weeks ago, onto a fresh copy of Windows 7 Professional x64. The game worked spectacularly, and I patched it up to 1.0.4.0 soon after, and noticed nothing but good performance. After putting icEnhancer 1.25 in it, it still worked fantastically. Fast forward a few weeks later, I picked up the Retail CD version of EFLC, and installed it, beat both campaigns, and decided to go back to GTA4 to mod/mess around. This is when the error started, literally immediately upon launch. The Rockstar wall of text/disclaimer comes up (very grainy/out of perspective) then the game would crash, and display the RESC10 Error box, with a series of numbers.

After copying over my backup (1.0.4.0 Vanilla), the problem persisted. So I uninstalled and revoked the game, then reinstalled it, same error. Can't even get into the game engine.

Now in between this time, I installed SP1 for Windows 7, so I am wondering if for some reason, SP1 doesn't want to play nice with GTA...

Here are the specs of my computer, which ran GTA4 amply, as well as EFLC:

Processor: Intel Core i7-2600k
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Pro
Memory: 8GB Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Storage: Crucial M4 SSD & 2x 1.5 TB WD Caviar Black HDD's
Cooling System: Corsair H80 Liquid Cooling
Video Card: 2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2GB
Power Supply: Corsair AX1200

If anyone has any tips, that'd be most appreciated, and +Rep to anyone who can solve this problem, since the rest of the net can't seem to... Or my google-fu is off.

Thanks,

W.

Update/reinstall your video card drivers?

It's kinda a shot in the dark, but it's the best idea I have at the moment.

I get a very grainy image also but i can play for a good 20 or so minutes before it starts. With 2x 2gb 560s you should be fine. What res you playing at?

Not sure if this would help but..worth a shot. Are you launching with regular shortcut? If you create a shortcut for launcher.exe and add "-norestrictions" then GTA IV can't limit you.
