ATI Catalyst 11.10 with HD 5750

So I have this HIS HD 5750 card with Catalyst 11.9 drivers. Despite repeated check for driver updates through the CCC, I was informed that no new drivers were available, even though the 11.10 WHQL drivers had released already. So I went to the AMD site, and selected the Auto Detect and Install option in the drivers section to update my graphics drivers. The little program that downloaded also told me that the best drivers for my card were the 11.9 drivers.
However, I still downloaded and installed the 11.10 drivers for my 64 bit Windows 7, since I wanted to play Battlefield 3. Although I haven't seen anything wrong, but in the desktop resolutions section, I see that the maximum supported resolution has gone upto 1920x1080 (my native resolution is 1600x900). Also, the 11.10 drivers, somehow, have added support for 1280x1024 resolution, which up until the 11.9 drivers, my 20" monitor was unable to display.
My question is, have I done wrong to update my drivers to 11.10, despite repeatedly being said by the CCC Software Updater that no new drivers were available?

Maybe you didn't install it correctly. Have you deleted all driver data using Driver Sweeper? I'm using the Cat11.10 with my Sapphy 5750, no problems so far.

No, I did not use Driver Sweeper. I simply uninstalled the old drivers through the control panel - the way ATI recommends and installed the new ones. And I don't really have any "problems" with the new drivers. The only thing that keeps bugging me was that the 11.10 drivers weren't available through the Catalyst Software Updater, and I had to manually download them. Also, the support for resolutions which, previously, my monitor was unable to display, is something new with the 11.10 drivers.
Did you have to manually install the new drivers, or were they available through the Software Updater?

Btw, Skulltrail, I ve noticed that your pc specs are very similar to mine. I too have a core 2 duo e7300 (stock), 4gb ddr2, hd 5750 iceq+ and windows 7 sp1 64 bit. Can u tell me your 3dmark vantage score (gpu, cpu and overall) at performance preset?
