Love mine, SILENT! It's in an Azza Hurrican case & it rocks! The only water I would even consider is with a cooler. But $500 for a few tenths doesn't add up.

lol, this. Seriously, I've shipped my system across the country via ups ground with the d14 attached and it arrived just fine. Don't underestimate the value of those backplates when it comes to distributing load.

Why would a D14 bend a mother board? You have any links to one doing this?
You use the mounting kit that comes with it and the screws that apply tension to the brackets are sprung to absorb stress.

Aside from one of the fans going there's nothing on a D14 that can fail and certainly nothing that will trash your system.
