Did you tested it before !? With Prime95/Intelburntest/OCCT?

Obviously it does. You increase the voltage to increase the signal strength. If the voltage range is up to 1.45v, then edging it up a notch or 2 wont hurt.

Have you actually tried to up the voltage to see if your crashing.BSOD's went away?

And when you originally overclocked your CPU, did you do any sort of stress testing?

Yes, before at 1.1625V it stress test it with IBT for 2hours. Everything is stable.

Now I set it at the EXACT same thing, as soon as i Click apply, it locks up or BSOD

Actually no. I think he isn't runned any stress tests. He also said that his turbo voltage is 1.3v (that means he need more than 1.3v). Cos turbo can increase it from 2GHz to 2.4GHz with 1.3v (1.4v to 2.8GHz i think). Cos 1.165v is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to low for 2.8GHz.

Trust me, I stressed test.

These llano chip can do 1.165V on 2.8Ghz.

Heck, I'm on stock speed using 0.875V

I guess I'll do a bios update and see. The bios update claims it fixes BSOD problems..

So what's the BSOD error code. Just tell that and i will answer your question.

yes you are on stock speed at .875 because the proc throttles it self when not in heavy use to save battery/energy when you stress it that gives you what voltages the processor uses at stock speeds. right now i am overclocked at 4.5ghz at 1.29 but my proc idles at 1.6ghz at .904v the posts above you say you need more voltage and i agree you prob do.
Small wonder.

You need to up your voltage. When overclocking if you increase your clock you have to increase your voltage as well to maintain stability. Make sure you run prime95 for at least 8 hours and monitor your temperatures

Just did a BIOS update, seems like that fixed the problem. No lock up, no BSOD so far. ;D
