What is this gambing you speak of?

At any rate, while 4GB may be sufficient, I'd hardly call it ideal. I'd say minimum of 8GB is necessary to run everything smoothly. Windows 7 x64 is fairly memory hungry, while sure you can optimize every last little bit of it, but why when memory is so cheap?

Personally, I found 4 GB insufficient. Whenever I would alt+tab out of a game and then back in to it, it seemed to take forever and made my i7 feel like a pentium III.
I got 12GB now and couldn't be happier. My machine runs fast, I can multitask like no other.

Definitely upgrade to 8GB IMO. It's well worth it.

Haha yeah. I can't count how many hours I've spent tweaking and prodding, uninstalling Windows features and disabling processes I don't need running. Glad that's all a thing of the past now. Between SSD's and the stupid amounts of RAM available for cheap it's become so much easier to be lazy and still have an amazingly fast system.
