Well technically you are more than welcome to take it apart, nothing bad is going to come from it. "Technically" you will void your warranty, but thats only if they can even tell that you took it apart.
If you have a warranty still and are scared to lose it then just use compressed air blow all over and try to get as much dust as you can..
On the other hand if you are competent enough to carefully take the casing off, go ahead and do so, you will more than definitely get more dust out that way.
