What does that have to do with how much Notch cares about the game? If you played it, you'd know how much content has been getting released recently. The game comes out of beta in a few days anyway.

Minecraft is to the PC platform what Farmville is to Facebook. Both are dry and lack innovation but they appeal to the masses.

Proof? Minecraft is based around primarily digging and creating objects which can already be done in a lot of other games. Farmville has been done a ton of times before too.....

Are you genuinely serious right now?

Minecraft should be under the word innovation in the dictionary.

What other game gives you the tools to not only build ANYTHING you want, but gives you a suspenseful survival experience at the same time?

See, that's not proof. That's the opposite of proof. Anti-proof, if you will. If all he cared about was the money, he'd just fix a couple of bugs, release v1.0 and move on to figuring out what to do with all those millions. Instead he keeps working on the game and adding more features. Well that and getting into legal entanglements with Bethesda, but that's a separate issue.

Personally, I only somewhat like Minecraft. I play every now and then, but it's not going to be making my top ten any time soon. Still, congrats to Notch.

You cant build anything though and the survival gets boring after awhile
