There are a few games like BF3 where you will need trisli to get over 60fps average on surround.

by the time you need quad GPUs for gaming, i can guarantee you will be buying something brand new again.

I know you got unlimited budget, but if you are asking us for advice it means you won't mind cutting some cost.

Unless you are video editing/rendering a i5-2500k is all you need.

GPU: I would personally just grab two 580 lightning 3gb, it will out perform both the GTX 590 or the 6990.

Unless you going for quad GPU set up just need 850w psu. If you going to do SLI GTX 590, CF 6990, or Tri SLI 580s than grab the 1200w psu from Antec.

I say GTX580 3G's all the way! Very sweet cards, best I've owed by far. You will need a good 360 rad alone to cool those puppies and one or your CPU. That's what I'm running with my 3x Sli 570 rig.

The AX1500w is perfect IMO, Silverstone makes a good one too from reviews I've read. I would have one now if I could afford it. Anything less will be working pretty hard to keep up with the combined wattage you are going to need.

Good luck and have fun!
thanks man i think we're on the same wavelength here.

In regards to the rasa xs360 kit in order to cool the cpu plus 3 video cards in sli I just need to add an extra 360 rad? Is it efficient to put all of these in a single loop?

all the stuff kinda seems unnecessary...

Just voicing my opinion... to give you an example. Im running a 2600k and 6990. both overclocked with a single 480 radiator.

While playing bf3, my 6990 sees a highest of 38C... and the processor never goes above 55 C...

Its up to you if you really want to spend a rediculous amount of money on a loop. I did it once and completely regreted it. But to each its own.

Btw a single 655 pump, pushed water for my build, through 3 360's, ek supreme hf, ek ud7 mobo block, ek dominator ram block, ek gtx 580 block.

If you need proof check out my extravaganza build.

So are you saying that the 1 radiator from the rasa kit is enough for 3 gpus a cpu the chipset and memory block? does the 655 pump come with the rasa 360?

Yup i want a cool sig and a future proof system at least 4-5 years. im in this for gaming and offcourse the accomplishement of building something but wouldn't want to go through it again till at least 4 years.

unfibilly11 i gonna play starcraft 2 in nvdia surround 3x display and maybe 3d surround battlefield 3 and call of duty for fun i heard you need double the processing power to do 3d in surround at 1080p.... if i could do that with just 2 580gtxs that would be great.
I wouldn't consider going quad SLI/xfire, as the scaling is terrible on the 4th card... The only people who benefit from Quad-SLI are benchers...

Stick with 3x 580 3gb's or 6990+6970 combo's instead of going for the Quad...

Something like the MIVE or UD7 would be the top of the line boards from either Asus or Gigabyte.

Starcraft doesnt support triple-wide gaming resolution as it is considered unfair by the developers as it is a competitive game.

I can achieve 38FPS solid in BF3 on my SLI 560Ti 2gb's @ 5760x1080, the majority of settings on HIGH, textures ULTRA, HBAO on, FXAA 16AF... SLI OC'd 580 3gb's would come close to achieveing 60FPS avg at the same settings

MW3 without a doubt...
BF3, you'll have to tone the settings back to averge out on HIGH

Right now really isnt the best time to be building a computer of that budget tbh. I mean we have ivy bridge and a new generation of GPU's coming out in two or three months.

Unless you REALLY need this now I would wait till the new year.

thanks for the help ishi. i didn't know blizzard gimped sc 2 to not run in surround mode... damn if it did i think more people would be hooked not to mention more hardware sponsorship from the gfx card giants...
