Do you think prices will fall considerably for the parts i want then? because i think those new cpus and gpus might be priced extremely high i might end up spending round 5k... it might not affect the prices of these soon to be tier 2 units? dunno what do you think? will i see a drastic savings of around 500 dollars guesstimated. haven't gotten a new super gaming rig for more than 7 years now... just bought computers for practical office and web browsing to get me by... that's why im like a person who just got of of a tech diet suddenly eating up all the goodies. In gluttonous fashion.

I'm kinda looking for the high end sweet spot and not completely high end if i was gonna go completely high end i wouln't go for 2700k right now but go for the 990x instead.

Not getting all of that plus sufficient water cooling for $5k. Have $3k in just water cooling parts for a similar tdp system without waterblocks. Wc isn't as cheap as some make it out to be for high tdp systems. Might want to stick to air

In regards to the rasa xs360 kit in order to cool the cpu plus 3 video cards in sli I just need to add an extra 360 rad? Is it efficient to put all of these in a single loop?
I tried one rig with both 1 loop and 2 loops (1 for CPU only and 1 for Tri-Sli GTX470's). You can see both results here: http://www.overclock.net/10684114-post46.html There were a couple of degrees difference but not enough to justify the extra cost and room needed to have 2 separate loops.

Since GTX470's run hotter than GTX570's, the temps may come pretty close to the GTX580's temp wise. Also factor in that the RX360 is a better rad than my Swiftechs and will give you lower temps.

Personally if I was building the rig you outlined with 3x GTX580's and a i7-2700k, I would get the RX360 kit (NOT the RS) plus a RX480 rad and run one loop. And that way if you add a 4th GTX580, it should still handle the load IMO.

One thought in my mind would be to go with a i7-2500k if you buy soon because Ivy Bridge will be out by next summer hopefully and it will work in most SB motherboards with a bios update (Yes I am budget minded) and spend the big bucks on a 6-10 core (12-20 Threads) processor. Unless you plan on waiting a couple of years before upgrading again, then 2700k is a good choice.

You don't need a sound card if you're going to feed an AV receiver through optical or hdmi. Your receiver will be using its own DAC, not the soundcard's. Just use the on board sound to send out the digital signal.

I don't get why we should spend over 3k for wc equipment won't a phase change unit to go below 0c be a more practical choice i think a custom one would cost just around 700 dollars plus a single loop wc for the gpus and chipset with 2 360 rads.... i guess it addicting.

Phase has reliability issues, condensation and compressor are huge ones. Needs to be up 24/7 with no worry of either. Can't really have a redundant compressor but u can have redundant pumps.
