If I was giving it to someone for a 2500k...then yes I would do this. I would later donate the 2500k.

7 / 1600 * 1000 = 4.375ns
10 / 2133 * 1000 = 4.688ns

Was that the correct formula?

Typically correct unless you have SB setup, it favors speed over timings.

I think the server option would be more likely to be utilized for folding 24/7.

And I would hope my donations do nothing less tongue.gif

I didn't know you donated; and yea most people can use them...but if this puts out more than double PPD it seems to be a good option for those that would use it.

This may be the 'end-all' solution and would tie in with the rebate idea I posted a little over a month ago. This would also allow for anyone to win, I would just purchase the item from a website in their country.

Hi deletethegame I don't always donate but...

Last year I donated 3x GTX260 MaxCores, 1x EVGA and 2x BFG...

This year for the NFL and FFW (both contests currently running) a MSI R6870 Hawk Twin Frozen III and a Galaxy GTX470...

If I remember correctly last year (I think it was last year), I donated a MSI Motherboard and an AMD CPU to the community folding project...

Its one of the things I can do to help our team and continue the science because there are times I just want to keep our electricty costs a bit lower.

I have a server rack and know that there is a few others who have one at home or work, but not many people have the space or the money for a server rack. If I won it, I would definitely mount it and fold on it 24/7, but since so few people would know what to do with it just from the intimidation factor alone, let alone where to put it, I think I can agree that a GPU would be a better prize. I may have a server rack and indeed a server, but that server also has three open PCI-E slots. Power supplies that can handle more than one GPU would be welcome also as some would love to have another card, but their PSU will not handle it. I myself have two power supplies that need to be replaced because I need more pwaR Scotty!
