Good SAS Card For around $100?

Thread Starter
My brother is thinking about getting 2 Crucial M4 128GB drives and doing raid 0. Whats a good sas card for about $100? Something simple. Would there be a problem running the ssd's off the card and his 320GB hdd off onboard?Or should i get a regular Raid Sata Card?

If you're looking for a SAS card, it'll have to be a SAS2 card otherwise the SSDs will be bottlenecked by the 3Gb speed of SAS1. If you can, see if you can find a Dell H200 card on eBay or at a Dell second hand outlet. Failing that, look at LSI's SAS2 card lineup

i would highly recommend the 9211-4i. it is going to fall a bit outta yer budget, but worth every penny. I have done extensive testing with this HBA, and it has uber written all over it
