While being chased by an enemy jet, slow down the throttle and keep doing circles either way and pump the brakes to get behind the enemy jet and then shoot them off the sky! In choppers, you have to watch out for obstacles and stingers. So have your flares ready and watch out for other choppers. Also if you didnt know already, in attack helicopters, the pilot and the gunner have a separate set of flares.

Advice? Let people that know how to fly, fly.
It's rather annoying when a noob takes the plane and crashes it not only 15 seconds later.

nice. Search "flying" in the server browser. There is more than a few practice servers. I've given up until I get my joystick back from my dad.

I normally just jump in and have fun. Try-hards will hopefully realize it's a game and go on to play the objective while you reign terror from above (hopefully onto enemies )

when you take off in a jet don't take off in the direction of the battlefield.. take off in another direction and at low speed asses what is going on.. if you see an enemy jet you have a chance to position yourself for a kill.. I always try for heat seekers if I have a chance if it fails once I switch over to the gun and go in for the kill..

if your going head to head once you pass the enemy shoot straight for the sky and dive back in to your enemy...

play and youll figure it out

Your best bet is to practice on flying servers, there's tons of them in the server list.

how do you find these "flying servers"

here's my advice. When flying around searching for kills I use the keyboard only for better control. When I spot an enemy in a jet or helicopter I switch over to my mouse for better aiming accuracy. I also switch camera positions to first person when attacking, and 3rd person when just cruising for enemies.
