My new 960T unlocked to 6 cores is showing as a 1605T?

So yeah, I just got in my 960T I purchased off of newegg. I was able to unlock all 6 cores and pass Prime95 for 15 minutes with 0 errors. (Thanks for the bonus AMD!)

The thing is, I posted this picture in another thread and didnt even notice until it was pointed out that the chip was running at 3.2Ghz right out of the box, .2Ghz higher then the advertised speed, with no OC applied.

Also, CPU-Z is identifying it as a Phenom x6 1605T, where as everyone else with an unlocked 960T, CPU-Z identifies it as a 1600T.

I even did a google search for 1605T and didnt get a single CPU related search result..

Just how special am I?

For the record: I am now running 3.6GHZ at 1.4V, however I may knock it back a notch as it gets close to thermal in Prime95.

That's the turbo feature. Disable it in BIOS if you plan to overclock manually.

Evidently all 960T become 1605T unlocked.

Phenom II X4 840T, unlocked shows up as "Phenom II X6 1405T"

Interesting, no I didnt see that. And no, I didnt look terribly hard. But a google search for "AMD 1600T" returns thousands of CPU related links while "AMD 1605T" was a ghost town.

Yeah I mentioned this in your other thread. I said perhaps it could've been a mistake that its actually 3.2Ghz stock as opposed to 3.0Ghz? I don't know.

I was talking to Arslay, but anyway, yeah it's normal.
