I'm more of a fan of ASUS, but my few Gigabyte boards haven't been their higher end ones, so I have a biased opinion.

For LGA 1155, I've heard Gigabyte aren't adopting UEFI or whatever on some boards (or all?), if that makes a difference. I'm not sure of the details of it, but someone recently mentioned it to me. I'll be moving to LGA 1155 soon too, and for what it's worth, I'm likely going to get another ASUS board. In general though, both ASUS and Gigabyte are good.

I would rep ASUS more than Gigabyte, just because ASUS has been around longer and has been more reliable throughout the years. My build currently includes an ASUS P8P67.
