For me, Call of Duty has something Battlefield doesn't. I honestly don't quite know what it is, but my friends and I think its the smoothness of the controls. Call of Duty also just seems to get you into the action faster. I LOVE tactical shooters, and I fly some aircraft simulators on the PC (DCS A-10C and Blackshark). Those are as close you can get to the real thing. Call of Duty and Battlefield are wayyyyyyy off in terms of realism. I honestly dont know why people try to argue which is more realistic... You regenerate health in both after being shot weather a medic is nearby or not, and in both games you can survive insane amounts of bullets. No matter what you do in either game, hit detection is going to be awful if you have lag. If anything, I bet MW3 has less bugs in it. I still get that annoying green screen flash in BF3.
What does battlefield do better than Call of Duty?
-Newer Engine/better graphics (unless on consoles)
What does Call of Duty do better than Battlefield:
-MUCH better customization
You can argue that Battlefield is more team oriented, which in some parts it is, but have you ever played a game with an entire team of friends in Call of Duty? I have had win streaks that last for days. There is absolutely no reason to hate on either game, they both are extremely successful. If anything, yell at Dice and IW and make them make a game together.
Not sure we're you're getting the more customization thing. In BF3, you can customize your gun, loadouts for tanks, planes, perks, camo, dog tags, etc. At least from my experiences with Black Ops, it seems that there are more things overall to customize in BF3.
As far as comments about camping go, I've actually found CoD to be WORSE when it comes to campers. When Black Ops first came out, campers were relatively scarce and run-and-gun was the norm. After a while, as people became more experienced, it was VERY difficult to find games where at least half the people were running around, the camping was so rampant. It was so bad at the end that I abandoned the game and went back to BC2 until BF3 came out.
Personal experiences may vary, and I think MW3 has a great idea with "kill confirmed", where you have to grab an enemies dog tags after killing them to get credit for the kill. This will really discourage campers and snipers, but with how fun BF3 is, I doubt I'll ever get MW3.
