Does this mouse exist??? - Page 2

Microsoft Sidewinder X8, To be fair, I have had most logitech mice out there and I have the G700 aswell, but from my point of view and for $$$ reasons I would say the X8 or G700, X8 being the cheap option of course

Well - I have a mouse that almost nobody has heard of, a CyberSnipa Stinger. I'm not 100% sure what sensor it uses (thought it was the Avago 9500, but the OCN reference thread says otherwise) and it does stop tracking on my cloth pad at quite high speeds, but I've really only noticed it in the past month or so out of the four years that I've had these mice. In normal use it's fine, but now that I'm starting to flick more often in TF2 I'm getting very annoyed with it and am planning on getting a Deathadder soon.

Otherwise, it ticks all of your boxes. Every button on the mouse is programmable, including the scroll wheel itself. It also has 3 profiles for macros which may be useful to you if you use them. I have large hands and I haven't actually found a mouse that's more comfortable to use, but then again I've grown so used to its shape after this long that might be folly

I don't know about the LOD though, but I just tried lifting it slightly while typing this and sometimes it has to be ~2-3mm above the pad before it stops tracking, but then it started tracking again and only stopped what I can imagine being 5mm - this is using my eye ofc. I don't think it has any prediction on it either. Here's a pic:

This is my post in the reference thread: http://www.overclock.net/13028676-post241.html

The Logitech G500 mouse uses the same laser sensor found in some other high-end logitech mice. Many have noted that the sensor is prone to "hiccups" at high dpi settings, "pixel crawl" effects, and acceleration issues. All of these issues have been fixed with sensor firmware updates, the most recent being version 58.18

Off topic what is that gibberish in the above post? NVM it has been deleted?
I own two G500's and a Xai with the latest firmwares and I can easily reproduce inconsistent positive acceleration when comparing them to my other mice that do not have positive acceleration (WMO/MX518/DA/Mico).

That wiki is full of crap.

There's a reason why Logitech puts this in the G400's (Optical without any positive accel) product page and not in the G500/G700/G9x's product page.

"Consistent response ratio
Mouse movements translate to the same amount of cursor movement
Less than 0.5% variance compared to +5% for some other "gaming" sensors
Gain more control with consistent tracking at any hand speed

The G400 is the "new" MX518. How do you like the angle-snapping? Does it affect your aim in FPS games, even in the slightest? The G400 really appeals to me, with the exception of that aspect. I've never played with a prediction-enabled mouse & unfortunately don't have access to one.

Steelseries FTW. Loving my Xai, but it might be too small for your palm-grip antics. Check out the Ikari .

Steelseries software is fantastic for turning off things like angle correction, acceleration etc. They're all about accuracy
