well whatever, I'm loving MW3 - BlackOps was nothing in comparison, sure it had a good dedi server system but the gameplay and action in comparison is just weak. I realise now how much I missed the MW2 style of gameplay. And well I can't quite remember how MW2 looked but I went back to it a few months after playing BlOps and remembered being severly disappointed with the graphics. Coming from BlOps to MW3 I'm not, so meh.
Maybe it's more of the same, but I don't see that being a bad thing - if the formula had been changed (possibly to be more tactical like BF3) people would only ***** and moan and say this isn't CoD anymore or if they had ramped up the graphics people would have got upset about having to replace their graphics cards. The graphics are more than adequate for the style of game, it's so quick and fast paced you don't really get time to stop and look at the scenery.
I like the new maps, they feel closed in enough not to be like BlackOps (plodding from the spawn point all the time) but not too closed in. Thus far there aren't many campers, perhaps this might develop over time but I sincerely hope not.
The one thing I LOVE about MW3 is the inclusion of pointstreaks over killstreaks..what a wonderful addition - I always play domination and hated the fact that I would capture endless points yet people who camp get rewarded with big killstreaks, now I can make one kill, capture a point and take out a turret and I've got a UAV recon, 2 more kills and a predator..it makes killstreak rewards alot more accessable to different types of players.
I also like the weapon proficiency, now attachments are unlocked with the weapon not with the player making it possible to specialise with a weapon or explore and level up multiple weapons. It's a good addition if you ask me.
Overall, yea it's similar to MW2 but as said, I don't see it as a bad thing and I for one am very happy
