[HBG] Battlefield 3 Flashlights Finally Get Their Brightness Lowered - Page 9

Haven't played the game, but it reminds me of the complete opposite problem in Doom 3--your flashlight was worse than a tiny LED keychain with dying batteries.

Wondering what the point of BF3's beta was if there were so many things left un-fixed that people went on-record to report...?

I said the right side as all the soldiers are right handed that I've used, and it should affect the eye that is generally kept open while aiming down the sights.
This, I get blinded enough by teammates, but out in the open in the middle of the day it's silly. I like what they got with laser's, the light isn't excessive but it's still there to throw a person off. But I guess the only real workaround is to get an IRNV on your desired gun to avoid all the flashlight/laser blinding sessions.

I hope its only for team mates. Tactical lights in real life are also used to blind your target and I was happy to see that in the game. Was just annoying when it was a team mate lol

No one expected (or should expect) the game to be flawless in the multiplayer arena on release. A beta can only tell so much. This isn't even a "fix", it's a change. It's hardly a "flaw" for a game to be consistently updated and improved.

The new light still looks plenty "blinding", at least at first glance. The tactical light as it is can seriously be confused for the sun on day-time maps.

Ofcourse, everybody "loves" the IRNV... simply because it's too good.

I wouldn't complain whatsoever if it needed some skill to properly use them: aka aim with them to the head; but right now you just aim to a target (it doesn't matter where) and it gets blinded, thus being a completely cassual element of the game that requires no-skill whatsoever.

Seriously, BF3 is disapointing me a lot: first, we have the lame-tars. Oh, they are so funny, you get a map, decide where you wanna shoot and thats about it. Whoever had such brilliant idea should be hanged. What about making them work by tilting them? What about something that requires skill? Now, you also have the M320...but can't complain too much because the class who has it can't spawn ammo.
Also, they nerfed the recon class so much its almost useless with a sniper rifle or anything close: yes, in combination with a mortar is fun (for the guy with the morter, because he is the one that gets the kills) but, otherwise, a class that is worthless (its not a dynamic class at all, in BFBC2 recon could be a very agressive class, and now its not).
