Briefcase computer, NEED HELP

Thread Starter
So me and my friends like to have gaming parties at each other's house and the problem I have is moving my giant computer there and back.

Solution? Briefcase computer.

I'm just having a problem finding a briefcase to put it in. Many of the briefcases I find are only 4". If anyone knows of a larger and cheaper briefcase (<$50) please let me know. 6" or more would be great.

I plan on fitting all components plus my 19" monitor.

do you definitely want it to be a briefcase or just a smaller computer with a handle?

You can find a vintage samsonite hard briefcase for sale (used for cheap), which is 5 inches. Only thought of it cuz i have one at home from back in the day. It would probably work for what you want to do.

Its going to be a bit pricey but take a look at Pelican Cases, a wide variety of sizes available. There are third party versions to that are a bit cheaper.

Why don't you consider an mATX build? Or a laptop for that matter?

The NZXT Vulcan is quite small, and has a handle for easy transport. It supports mATX or ITX motherboards, so it's about the size of an average briefcase (but probably double or triple the thickness).

Would look considerably nicer heh.

Have you considered a catalog case? Might suit your needs a bit better, and give you more room.

I definitely want a briefcase or something similar. I don't want a mATX build because I plan on simply moving over my current components and I also want a monitor in the suitcase.

I've also been looking at some large camera cases.

Not sure if relevant: I won't be using a CD drive since Windows 7 is already installed and won't ever need besides that.
