It annoys you that you bought a card that didn't come pre-overclocked? Most people don't want that anyway. Or is it that you just don't know what you're doing and you threw a lot of money at something without researching it enough?
Either way, there's no reason to return it. Zotac is a good company. Enjoy the card.

Zotac's are crap to overclock but they are good reliable stock reference cards... OR so I think.

The Zotac Xofa has is a reference card, so basically Zotac just stuck some stickers on it and warrantied it. I don't know how 590s overclock, but my feeling is that reference cards are usually pretty capable.

Edit: It appears the low 700Mhz range is attainable with a voltage bump.

The overclocked cards are a marketing gimick. I know its a old card but "back in the day" I bought a EVGA 8800 GTS SC and overclocked it further using MSI Afterburner. Then when a member here upgraded to a 5770 he sent me his Vanilla EVGA 8800 GTS.

Well long story short the OCs on the 2 cards were identical, as were the temps.

Besides the Zotac will easily overclock the measly 23 mhz core and 35 mhz memory. I also bet the Zotac is quite a bit less expensive. EVGA is a great company and make great products, but they are a little more expensive.

HP, the least reliable PC make is married to Zotac, not EVGA.

I would get the EVGA.

Does it REALLY Matter, its a 590 (the best card as you said) with a 23mz oc you'll see about 0.1% of an increase in fps...

the 590 will mostly max everything out anyway?

I'm sure the Zotac 590 will be just as good, as the EVGA (maybe a less impressive box and accessories) but it will be the same card essentially.

Keep the Zotac card, it is a very good reputable company. Here in the US we don't hear of them much because they are a foreign company. I have no complaints with my 570 from them. I havent gotten my MIR back after about a month or two, but that was not my incentive to buy the card anway. tongue.gif

overclocking could be the same on either card. You never know your zodiac card may even OC higher then EVGA. But that is really just luck of the draw. When I buy a card I'm happy or sad depending on what the stock VID is on my card.
So go Compare your VID to these http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/974902-nvidia-gtx-590-owners-club.html and see if yours is low I would be happy.
