Advice on Skyrim/Future build!!!

Looking to do a little upgrading for skyrim and maybe a little future proofing (not possible I know just makes me feel better about dishing out the dough)

GPU: Go for an MSI Lightning Extreme 3GB instead. Much better if you aren't watercooling.

Should Skyrim move well with a SLI of 8800GTs? CPU is no problem in my case.

1680x1050 res, too..

Looks good, although I'm curious how a single 580 will hold up once Skyrim gets tweaked and modded, especially at such a high resolution.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.

Look at other retailers. Newegg might be OOS but somewhere else might have it.
