Overclocking with ASUS K8V-MX?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I've got a few systems around, and I'de like to learn how to overclock one of my older ones.

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 2200mhz(200x11)
ASUS K8V-MX
2GB DDR-333-CL2.5
Seagate 7200.10 EIDE 160GB
Diamond Radeon 9250 SE PCI 256mb
Windows XP Pro SP3

Another one, but the O/C options are locked and its friggian impossible to flash the bios:
Intel Celeron 2.6Ghz Northwood (26x100)
PC CHIPS M925G Rev 9.01B
256MB DDR-266-CL2
ATI Rage 128 Pro with AGP
WD Caviar EIDE 80GB
Windows XP Pro SP2

I'de like to O/C the Athlon to 2.6+ or the Celeron to 3.0 or higher.

Thanks

the athlon won't be too hard just set ram and HTT to auto, set NB to 9x multiplier and increase the reference clock to 260+. also if possible increase Vcore or CPU VID to the max rated for that chip which is 1.4v. the celeron use setFSB there should be a chip on the mobo labeled ICS often otherwise it will be small with about 40-50 pins and does not have any cooling that will be your FSB. you can in theory set to about 266 as that is your ram speed but I would go 2 steps below that which should be 200mhz but that would be 5.2 ghz which isn't going to happen so probably you can get away with about to steps up which would easily give you 3ghz.

I've heard stuff with the AMD-VIA chips about how the fsb will kill your AGP cards, does the same apply for pci cards?

I think the maximum fsb i can set is 240 on the K8V.

I beleive i tried Setfsb, but the PLL number didn't match any of the motherboards on the list.
