So are they really all that different the Heatsink is a little different on the bottom. and the Evo is quieter on the lowest setting but louder at the highest....

Looks like it might offer a few degrees of better cooling. Up to you if that is worth it or not.

I would say if you are planning on putting your own fans on it, just grab the 212+ (unless you want every last bit of performance. 2-3c maybe?) If you are using the stock ones, the EVO might be worth it to some.

it doesnt seem to be much of a difference but IDK not necessarily looking to buy one or the other just discussing the differences between them.

I've read that the difference between the two is very minimal. Like OldMold said, it's really up to you to determine whether the $10 is worth a few degrees and extra noise.

Just so you know, my Hyper 212+ (not EVO) is good enough to take my 2500K to 4.6 GHz with max temps of 66C, which is pretty darn awesome.

that is pretty awesome.
I will be getting one prolly the 212+ b/c IMO the EVO is the same darn thing. I'm just soo glad my computer has a cut out so I don't have to remove the Mobo to install the heat sink.

EVO does make TIM application a bit easier. The gap between each heat-pipe is very small, therefore peasize approach works really well.
