I would actually prefer a smaller, less "ugly" cooler... idealy a simple H20 cooler. I put function before form, don't get me wrong... I'd just like the best of both worlds. Thanks!

$79 gets you a Silver Arrow! As good as air gets!

Excuse my semi-hijack, I'm in a similar situation. My order is already made, and the parts are going to arrive Thursday as they are already in-transit.

I ordered a CM 212 EVO with my order.

Should I go through the long process of returning it just to order a different cooler? I really want to build this sucker this weekend. Is the 212 EVO good enough for OC'ing a i5 2500k to ~4.4ghz (not sure on voltage?) in a 500R case? Just not sure. Thanks in advance.

Get the Noctua NH-D14, probably one if not the best air cooler you can get, I cba to go with watercooling because it's more expensive, I've never installed one in my life and it wouldn't be cool if it leaks.

4.4 should be possible unless you get a crappy chip, I've had the Hyper 212+ (i'm pretty sure it's comparable to the evo) and it's relatively loud (louder than my case fans + GPU at idle, with the noctua nh-d14 I barely hear anything. it really depends if you think that 200-500 mhz is worth it (depends if you get a good chip or not + better temps and noise) if it is for you then get the NH-D14.

Sorry to ask, how much fan did you get from buying a Thermaltake Silver Arrow? Is it a pair or just a single TY-140?

Same question with NH-D14... Because I'm about to change my H60 into one of them.

Thanks..
