New build & problem with power

When I press the power button, Everything turns on only for about 3-5 seconds before turning off and it will constantly repeat this process.

This is the first time I have put together a computer. I have an i5 2500k with an MSI z68a-g43 (g3) motherboard. The PSU (Velocity micro 550w) is from my old computer.

Is the problem my PSU? Or did I mess up somewhere while putting everything together?

Check to make sure your pin connectors for power are inserted correctly. Are you using an integrated gfx card or do you have something else in there. If you do, what is it?

Try booting with only 1 stick of ram in, update the BIOS, then reinstall ram.

I am currently using the integrated gfx. I've tried booting with 1 stick, 2 sticks, and no sticks without success. The monitor doesn't seem to react to the computer being on for the 3-5 seconds. I've also tried disconnecting everything else besides the 24pin and 12v.
